I Am But A Person

Thu, 09/10/2015 - 19:14 -- beashay

Eyes like marbles, brown, blue, and green,

Button nose, undefined, lies inbetween.

Lips lie below, small and thin,

A quiet voice and creative mind hidden within.

Lost in translation, the girl left behind,

Shy and forgiving, loving and kind.

I am forgotten, yet I won't be ignored,

Giving in to my depression was an idea I abhorred.

I have struggled, battled, perservered and overcome,

Here I am today to tell you who I've become.

I am. . . myself, I am one of a kind,

I am one in a million, I am undefined.

Who am I but a person, but a person is fine.

I am original, I am perfect by design.
