I am normal.

Build up your hard shell.

Don’t show anyone what’s really going on inside.

Don’t let them look past your eyes into your soul and see that your are breaking down.

You are fine.

It’s just your teenage hormones.

Everyone goes through this.

People will judge you if you seem weak.

Don’t be weak.

Just be normal.

Be a normal teenager.

Normal.

It wasn’t normal.

Breaking down into tears every night thinking about ending your life is not normal.

But you were too scared to do it.

You tell your mom, and she doesn’t think anything about it until you tell her about how you sometimes just want to jump off of anything like a bird, and end everything, feeling free with the wind and adrenaline rushing through you.

She takes you to a therapist and the medicine doctor, where they tell you you are really messed up.

Not normal.

You don’t tell anyone.

They probably would think you are doing it just for attention.

You make great grades, play sports, and have lots of friends; what could be wrong?

Oh, just life.

You may think everyone seems normal, but they are not.

Ask if they are okay.

Chances are they aren’t.

But like a turtle, if something hits hard enough it can cause the shell to break and possibly kill you.
