I am from the 90’s to 2000’s R&B jams and the “ I don’t wanna love nobody but you”

~ Kirk Franklin

From PS4’s and Iphones

I am from a family of giving hearts, love, and humbleness

A warm home cooked meal with a bowl of blue bell on the side

The taste is tender and seasoned , a slab of gleaming ribs with sparkling sides

I am from the white daisy’s that shine brightly in front of the house every morning

I’m from the family reunions, long summer weeks with the cousins and grandparents

From the great-grands with Uncles and Aunts

I’m from the “ You better be in this house when the street lights come on” and “ If you don’t start playing like I know you can, you gone be sitting on the bench beside me.”

I’m from a leveled peace of mind and ambition

Learning to grind, take leadership, having patience and to stay humbled

I’m from the hardwood court with a ball in my hand.

From training 24/7 to soaking in freezing ice baths right after

Traveling all across the country as a team getting ready to G.A.T.A

From Defense to Offense, from dropping three’s to swatting shots into the stands

I am a hustler with a go hard or go home mentality

I am the CEO of Photogenic Productions

I capture life's greatest moments and turn images into vibes.

I’m from those relaxed days with the gang cracking jokes and going on wild adventures.

I’m from the tall trees filled with pine cones on Arkansas dirt roads but I rep DTX.

Cookouts with fried catfish, and grilled cheeseburgers.

From the mother who had to force me to wear dresses even though I hated it.

The father who taught me how to change the oil on my car

Both teaching me I can do all things through christ who strengthens me.

I am from the hilarious, supportive, open heart, and loving care-givers.
