I am Me

They say we’re too young.

That we have too much fun.

That we don’t know responsibilities.

That we’re chasing the wrong dreams.

They say we don’t know anything.

Try to change our everything.

But we like our independency.

It’s not just us, but we.

They try to change us. Our lives, our judgement.

They say "Kids are the future" but we are constantly being changed.

We have to fit their definition of perfect.

I guess they don't like us and try to rearrange.

As we drift away from our parents wing,

We start to understand more things.

We become who we are suppose to be.

Understand things not taught in history.

It's more from our experiences and what we learned by ourselves.

We learn more about poverty and wealth.

We embrace our differences and our flaws.

Just make sure you can keep track of them all.

Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad.

It's your little girl.

I know you see me in this big bad world.

But it's really not that bad.

I've learned how to conquer it.

I've learned how to embrace my differences.

I didn't let anyone change me.

Because I am who I'm suppose to be.
