I AM HUMAN

I am human.

I dance

when I'm happy,

I cry

when I'm sad.
All I want
is to make sure my choices today
won't rise up and engulf me tomorrow as I drown
and wither away in the cold river of regret.

I

am small
While I watch the constellations above me
The stars and the scars
Stitched throughout the handmade sea of life.
But though my soul can't fill up a room,
I am bigger than you've ever imagined
Because we are all radiant masterpieces
and while the critics critique
I won't let their words make me
weak.
I may stumble and stutter
And trip over my self
But I will protect my brothers and sisters
In some stupid way I'll help.
Because the most beautiful thing about us is how stupid we become for the ones we

love.

Because

you

 and I are human.
