I Am

I Am

It told me I was fat

Said I was ugly and not worth love

Shouted in my ear until I could hear nothing else

Blinded me from seeing the truth

And then the truth was all I could see

It starved me

Destroyed me until I was nothing but a body

A broken body with a face that didn't smile

But I am not that person anymore

Not the person who let something so harmful enter my mind

It's not just a disorder

It is a killer

But I am not a victim

I am not the lies that i told me

I was broken down but I rebuilt myself

I am strong, smart, and beautiful

And my story has just begun
