I am...

Wed, 05/15/2019 - 19:00 -- PoetX

I am not an age

Not a weight

Not a height

I am not a gender

Not a name

I am that thought

Floating in my head

I am that song

That soft melody

I am that compliment

And the insult

I am a thousand things

Yet you only have the audacity

To see the million things

That I am not.

I don’t care of comparison

Not silly fads

I don’t care of your remarks

Not the painless words

I don’t care of the quantity

Not some foolish number

I care of the quality

That precious love

I care of the roses’ beauty

That lightens the entire garden

I care about careness

The sympathetic empathy

I care of a thousand things

Yet you only have the audacity

To understand the million things

That I loathe

I don’t love ignorance

Not nasty liars

I don’t love rotten minds

Not those bad apples

I don’t love lack of appreciation

Not some ungrateful brats

I love the experienced

Their uniqueness

I love the knowledgable

Those sweethearts

I love heroicness; bravery

The straight-up modesty

I love a thousand things

Yet you only have the audacity

To perceive the million things

I absolutely detest

I don’t think of your satisfaction

Not fulfilling it

I don’t think of what could’ve been

Not the dwellings

I don’t think of your likings

Not your comments

I don’t think of being great

Not to show-off

I think of being wild

The longing freedom

I think of my own likings

That pleasure

I think of the world’s nature

The gracious beauty

I think of a thousand things

Yet you only have the audacity

To believe the million things

I could never fathom.
