I am

You stare becasue I am not showing my hair

You think I am oppressed by the males in my life when really I am not

Because I am covered you think I am not liberated, but liberty is not defined by how much you cover or not it's measured by how free your soul is

I am covered from head to toe not because of his creation but because of him

You try to scare me, but I am fearless

You want to destroy me, but you didn't know, I am made out of rocks and stones

You call me extremist, but I am only extremely thoughtful and caring

You expect me to follow the society, but I have something much more to offer

Yes I have faults just like you but I do not let them distract me

I am Strong, Independent, Muslim, Ethiopian women, with bright thoughts
