hurt and distressed

hurt and distressed

Her eyes were weary, blue, and afraid. She was in awe. Contemplating life and whether, would he even notice? Mind over matter. She could never forget the day she left. It brought her nothing but happiness. You could see in her eyes she was hurt. Never knowing she could trust again. Accused. Used. “Why?”. She wondered and thoughts lingered. “ This was a huge mistake”. She drowned her sorrows, with 4 am cries and a bed of lies. She looked for attention in other men, where she never wanted it. Though she could never find him. Her mother never lied to her about him. She never listened, but figured him out.
