LIKE A SUMMER BREEZE

LIKE A SUMMER BREEZE

Walking with a cane

You came into my lane.

Jumbled my ways

My nights became days.

I’ve felt this breeze before

I thought. For sure!

She can see in me

Like an artist can see.

In the slab of clay

The pleasure they desire that day ....

But unlike the others

You wouldn't say what you saw in me.

Why not?

Who are you?

Where am I?

I’m spinning!

Is this a beginning?

Your wind

So powerful

Blew me away.

Yet so warm.

Like a summer breeze

Knocked me to my knees.

I’ve traveled with pain

Walking with my cane

Thought I had the right lane.

Looking for love that was strong

Made turns that ended wrong.

Show me how to love

Swimming your breeze above.

I'm in. I'm out

I'm all about.

Up then down

And tumbling around.

I am in a daze

Searching your maze.

Hold on just a little longer

I have the hunger.

This love has shown me

What I was too blind to see.

I was grabbing for lust in bed

But touched sweet love instead.
