"Hunters" of Artemis

She wasn't hunting deer anymore.
She was searching for the mortals who were like her.
Society said they were only part of ancient lore,
But she knew they were real, she knew they felt hurt.
She would find them by themselves, happy to be on their own.
She could feel them when they were told what they knew they felt was not real.
She knew they felt safer alone
Because it was the only place they weren't judged for how they'd feel.
In those moments she would call them.
Then she'd grant them a smile only the moon godess could give.
She would explain that it's okay not to feel the pull of men.
It was not the only way to live.
Then she would gather them to her
Then bless them with her hunters strength.
She would ask them to join her hunters
And gift them a healing life of length.
