human nature.

you can play the part.
you can plaster a mask on.
you can use your words carefully.

but this is not a goddamn theater.
this is not a masquerade.
your words are only lies.

we adapt, we do not change.

you are who you are
when no one else is looking.

is it in our nature to fool ourselves
and make everyone believe
we are capable of being
anything different than
what is written in our blood?
