The Human Body
Glancing at the mirror and I see my face,
Negativity arises as my thoughts race.
What is so special about me?
Why can't I leave?
Stop!
Why do I care?
What is this negativity just when I stare?
Check out my eyes, my nose, my ears,
All working together like well-tuned gears.
Check out my white blood cells heroically fighting,
All trillion of them fast like lightning.
Check out my heart beating and my lungs breathing,
All pathways of oxygen constantly seething.
My body is a well-oiled machine,
What else do I need?
