To keep a dream alive you must have determination, a reason, and passion to go forth to make the dream come true. One must have the drive to focus on what the dream is and what they will do to accomplish it. My dream is to help and to give back life to someone who feels like theirs had been taken away. The reason for this being is because I am someone who has been in that position already. For one to overcome the feeling of their life being taken away, they have to witness that they are not alone and can continue to dream even if it seemed like there was nothing left. Through the childhood years of my life, I have witnessed almost everything a child could. Thus brought me to the stage of not following my dream but dreaming to get away from the nightmares. Hurt came upon me and my dream faded away. I understand what it is to not be able to follow your dream. One day a powerful source came in my life and showed me what it was to dream again. He told me not to worry my nightmares will vanish. Follow your dreams and it will take you far. I must say this is when I met my Lord and Savior. He showed me something through my dream that healed me in a way I could never be healed. My Lord spoke to me. From that day on I began to follow my dream. I followed it through my talents, my weaknesses, and my stories. This is where passion comes in; it’s the drive to move forward into the future. I used my passion to sing my heart out at every practice, audition, or show that came my way. I excelled in helping peers through therapy and simply just lending and ear out. My stories that once hurt me began to not hurt anymore and make sense. They made me realize that whatever had happened happened for a reason. I guess it was time for me to tell my story and one day touch a heart. To see the drive that I have to move on and help people made them feel as if they should continue dreaming. “Never give up on something you can’t go a day without.” This quote feeds my soul with a deep meaning. To me it means “Don’t stop Dreaming”.
