Horn Of Africa

Mon, 01/18/2016 - 20:31 -- iafrah

Land of the free & the home of the brave

No, I'm not talking about America, I'm talking about Somalia

Before it was broken

Before we used our power with words and not swords

Let me remind you that our children are dying, mothers are crying & our people stand alone

Defenseless and left to survive on their own

I seem to have a target on my blue and white heart

That target is played as if its a game of darts

Veiled head to toe

The way that I dress does not mean that I am opressed

One day, we will unite and become one

But until that day, kids will play with guns for fun

Land of the Free, Home of the brave

No I'm not talking about America

Im talking about Africa.
