The Hopeful Boy

The boy had dreams to touch the stars in the sky.

The atmosphere could not contain him.

He had eyes that could light a fire on the coldest winter night.

He knew he had catastrophic battles to fight.

He was deemed too small to be a warrior in his countries army,

But they have nothing that can measure how big the heart can be.

He trained when the sun was out and even the days when it rained.

''Haha. Look! The kid trying to beat odds that is too big for his own height.''

The boy took the mockery and promise that this would drive him to take flight.

Unexpectedly his country was raided!

Men, women, and children's lives sadly faded.

The country began to fight back,

But this was one harsh attack.

The boy who was called too short begin to take out men that was eight feet tall!

He slashed, dashed, and evaded them all.

He began to get followers of the army that made fun of him.

Even though they mocked him he always looked up to them.

''Time to fight back! I know our backs are against the wall, but now is the time we have to stand tall! Show them our pain. Our loved ones lives will not be in vain. I know a lot are dead... but we have to fight and live in their place instead.'' This is what the young boy said.

The men who was younger and older was astounded by the young boy's words.

Hope began to sprout back and they began to take flight like carnivorous birds.

Taking out men on their left and taking out men on their right.

''You want to take my country, but you're not getting it without a fight!'' The young boy said that that night.

Hours passed and so did many lives on both sides.

This battle was the battle of two countries prides.

So they didn't want any more casualties.

''Send out your best man!'' The king said.

And I shall have his head.

So the army asked can they could have one day. The king said, ''Aye.''

They were looking at guys who could be considerable for this part.

They looked at height, weight, muscle mass, but it was one thing they seemed to pass... the HEART.

The boy spoke up and said, ''For this country I wouldn't mine losing my head, and this king and his army came in today drank our wine, murderded our people, and ate our bread! I will fight and I promise I will take his head.''

So he was chosen to fight the king.

The boy had nightmares all night about his upcoming fight.

He met the king in the middle of the field with his diamond blade sword and his shield.

The king had the biggest sword and shield looked like a 10 feet board.

The king ran to the boy looking to kill and detsroy!

The boy evaded his attack, but got a cut to his back.

The king laughed and said, ''Haha! Who is this unnamed kid? Today he will be dead.''

He attacked again going for the win.

The boy blocked the attack and begun his counter attack.

He pushed the king away with his shield and swung his diamond blade sword.

The king was surprised by the boy skillset.

The king slashed back, but the boy feet this time was set.

He took his sword spun around the king and got him in his back!

This was the end of the king attack.

The boy slice off the king's head, and he was dead!

His home country was in an total uproar!

He took the floor. He did what he promised and more.

They took back their country that day, and the army would have it no other way.

The boy became a zero to a hero.

He was lifted up by the country.

What he lacked in sized, he replaced with his huge heart.

He started from the dirt and by his country's words he was torn apart.... But there's nothing that can measure the size of a heart.
