Hope Trees

The darkness envelopes me
Hanging trees in groups of three.
One is for me, one for you,
The other for the dead too.
So meet me there soon tonight
By the hope tree at midnight.
See me hanging by my neck
Then your life becomes a wreck.
See moon's shimmer softly pass
As toes swing above the grass.
Then you see the rope for you
And you hang from the tree too.
And then people cut down the trees
Moms and dads hug their knees
Wishing their kid to come back
But there is something that they lack:
LOVE.
