Hope

Location

bleak and gray

clouds across the sky

eternally

raindrops fall

closely touching

but freeze

on my skin

color

bleeds from flowers

leaving dull

killing grass

the world turns dark

as my soul

I fight

no more

I thought

But a fire glows

brighter and brighter

burning new light

warming me

new colors

pierce the gray

here and there

not everywhere

enough, just enough

I fight

again.
