Location

You left for a year,
After my grandmother dear
Left for Heaven to watch you.
I thought you'd come to stay,
As we had to fly away
Like birds, we flew to South for winter.

Though we're far apart,
We are connected at heart.
I want you to come home.
You've left for a while,
So come back with a smile.
Please, please. Do come home!

Alas, you took a detour,
On September the fourth,
And Momma just cried and cried.
So you came back in December,
So far as I can remember,
And we flew back up to North.

Though we're far apart,
We are connected at heart.
I want you to come home.
You've left for a while,
So come back with a smile.
Please, please. Do come home!

You then left us there,
With the squirrels and the hares,
And mad as we were, we still cried.
We were helped my many,
Understood by few,
Loved little, though hard did we try.

Though we're far apart,
We are connected at hear.
I want you to come home.
You've left for a while,
So come back with a smile.
Please, please. Do come home!

We joined the church
To dispel the hurt,
And mad as we were, we still cried...
