Tears for being TAKEN

STOLEN
from Home
Happiness
Family.
Tears for being stripped
of power
but not pride
Pride in our ethic
Strength
Cunning
Willingness
To survive.
To never be beaten
By the man that says we are beasts.

But we are not
The ones raveging
Killing, stealing from others.

We fight
Hundreds of years later we are still FIGHTING
We are EQUAL
STRONG
INTELLIGENT.

We demand, deserve
our rights.
We are people
not second class
No we are citizens
Of a land we did not ask to be brought to
But now that we are here, we are here to stay.

To have our voices be heard .

We are now land owners
We OWN property
We are not property
We shall dream no longer but have our reality

We are civil.
And we are right.
We demand justice.
For us.
For those who were taken,
Hundreds of years ago
and broght to this new
HOME
