Holy Spirit

Oh spirit of spirits
Whom showed mercy like no other towards this moribund soul,
Let the light of day testify of your glory,
For you ward me from the abyss of the night
As two become one.
If ever our bond were to be broken,
My corpe would be lost in the plague of this world;
My flesh held hostage to sin.
Me without you is inconceivable
For what purpose is to live
If the purpose is not life?
You
Unfluster my internal disturbance,
Fill me with envious intellect,
Help me keep my head up
Though the view might not be pleasing,
Keep my feet moving
Though I know not my destination,
Make me overcome
With strength that no mortal man can give.
You are the reason I have not grown despondent
And fell to the ownership of circumstances,
If I had not you
There would be no me
