Holocaust

How can, we forget those stories
How can, we forsake those souls
How can, we let their lives be buried
Without feeling shame and sorrow

How can, we sleep at night
Simply imagining their screams
How can, we ignore the truth
And let it be a horrifying dream

How can, we say "it's in the past"
If it haunts me everyday
How can, we say "nothing can be done"
When there's a lot to say

How still, some hate that race
Seeing their hurtful scars
How still, some wish them pain
Without living through death's wrath

How could I, not possibly stand for Israel
How could I, not share the Jewish cause
If even though, not tied by race
My heart woes, at the word "Holocaust"
