Highway 19

Come into town

First you see me

A girl halfway through 17

Not like a girl from the magazine

But a girl with auburn hair

Skin, quite fair

Brown eyes, coffee with cream

You go around this town
Just like it was a merry go round
You all say ¨we hate it here¨
But lucky you, you're leaving here
But when you come back and you wanna find me
Follow highway 19

After you've been here awhile there ain't no possible way, you could ever get lost
If you do find that old highway running straight through town

You go around this town
Just like it was a merry go round
You all say ¨we hate it here¨
But lucky you, you're leaving here
But when you come back and you wanna find me
Follow highway 19

Wasting time around here takes a long time unless you know what to do:
Go down to the Jaycee park, nail the batting cage with a left-handed pitch
Church starts at 8 oçlock be an altar server for awhile

Help out at the library, label and categorize our Czech itinerary

Or be a Lonsdale Ambassador

You go around this town
Just like it was a merry go round
You all say ¨we hate it here¨
But lucky you, you're leaving here
But when you come back and you wanna find me
Follow highway 19

Those of us from around here may say, ¨we hate it here¨

Really though to tell the truth, we love it

It’s a part of us, it what made us ‘us’

I wouldn’t change it or me for all the money in the world

So you go around this town
Just like it was a merry go round
You all say ¨we hate it here¨
But lucky for us, you're leaving here
But when you come back and you wanna find me
Follow highway 19

Follow highway 19….
