Here's to You

To hear a ‘good job’,
What must I do?
How can I earn an
I’m proud of you?
When was the last time you came to a concert
Without her telling you to?
And the times I've seen you at a swim meet,
Maybe only two.

You’re only ever happy
When it interests you.
Like boy scouts or baseball
Or something else you’re into.
You don’t know how I feel
When you don’t even show
Especially when you’re home
And just don’t want to go.
