Here's to the Motherless

It’s not the same

With you being gone

Your constant reassurance

And growing wisdom

Never cease to amaze me

Your hands, so soft

As I grasped them

When I had my first boo boo

Or your warm hug

When I had my first heartbreak

Or your joyous shout

When I crossed that stage

Those fleeting moments

That always seem to leave too quickly

I do shed a tear

But then I remember

You are out of this world

And in another of your own

This poem is about:
Our world
