Here's To
Here’s to
Here’s to being able to sing
Here’s to the ability to articulate masses that continuously passes
The masses of my mass thinking
Here’s to having favorable qualities, both mental and physical
Both Social and Diplomatic
Here’s to not having the emotional capacity to even compare
Here’s to having my mother’s emotions
Here’s to having my mother
Here’s to wishing I had my mother, because oh brother I am a wreck
Here’s to having to be mature before you’re ready
Here’s to wishing you had a shoulder to cry on
But as you grow older you realize
How hard it truly is to find
Here’s to wishing you could hear your mother’s voice
Here’s to wishing you had more of a choice
Here’s to want
Here’s to wanting
Here’s to being wanted
Here’s to wishing I could have what I wanted
Because Mom’s not there but I won’t feel as much need to care
When there is someone there to make this wreck and despair
Become a blessed pair of happy tears
But instead I wipe the tears of those who can’t do it on their own
Because they depend on me so, that I don’t even know what to know, how to know
Where to go, but I know for sure
That there’s a little too much love on one side for me to even think straight
Here’s to thinking you can relate
Here’s to hearing how great you are
Here’s to hearing how great you look
Here’s to only being important because of how you look and not for who you are
Here’s to not understanding what it took to be who I am
Here’s to settling for less and forgiving more than you should
Here’s to being abused
Here’s to being abusive for being abused
then being abused for being abusive
Here’s to mental stability
Here’s to wondering how I even managed to stay sane
When all that is, drives me insane
To the point where the membrane
Can’t even remember why I was here in the first place
Here’s to smiling versus happiness
Here’s to looking like the happiest thing in the world
But internally reeking of darkness
Here’s to depression
Here’s to depress
Here’s to being depressed because you have your mother’s emotions
Here’s to your mother
Here’s to wishing I had my mother because oh brother I am a wreck
Here’s to helping others
Here’s to ignoring your needs and making other’s needs your needs
So you don’t need to need anything more than another’s happiness
Here’s to others
Here’s to wishing you could do for yourself what you do for others
Here’s to wishing you truly had a significant other
Here’s to want
Here’s to wanting
Here’s to being wanted
Here’s to wishing I could have what I wanted
Because Mom’s not there but I won’t feel as much need to care
When there is someone there to make this wreck and despair
Become a blessed pair of happy tears
Here’s to writing
Here’s to life
Here’s to death
Here’s to only living because writing prevents me from death
Here’s to love
Here’s to loving
Here’s to loving you
Here’s to loving myself
Here’s to understanding who I really am…
