Here I sit with my heart in my hands

Here I sit with my heart in my hands

You look at me with a frown

Around my wrists are restraining bands

The chains hold me down

I reach out, the chains rattling

All I want is you

I strain hard, battling

Must I bid you adieu?

I just want you to take my heart

Just keep is safe, I don’t need it

Just take it, it is yours, it will never part

Each of the click of the  clock crushes my spirit

You walk away with an unconcerned shoe clack

A silent plea dies on my lips-my sight goes black
