Her

Insert feelings here, is what I've come to learn,

I never knew they were here to stay...

While my feelings were sad and my skin with fire would burn,

She promised she'd be here no matter what -- and I love her that way.

My rhymes aren't the best, but perfection is very rare.

This is a fact that I greet with dismay.

While she is sitting next to me playing Bayonetta, I can't help but stare;

She is beauty incarnate -- and I love her that way.

Even at 3 AM, when it's dark as can be, she's still here.

I see her in my eyes; today will be a good day.

I don't have to doubt myself, I don't have to shed a tear,

Because I know she will care -- and I love her that way.

My rhymes are flawed, and my meter makes me look blind,

But for the time being, that's the way it will have to stay.

I can't think straight with her on my mind all the time,

But it's a beautiful thought, she's a beautiful one -- and I love her that way.

Alas, I end the poem with discontent, as my heart has so much more to put!

I can't just sit here thinking, I have to let her know she took me out of the fray.

While I sit here and watch her play the PS3, she's getting mad when she has a loss...

But I realize that she has feelings like I do -- because she loves me that way.
