Help Me Teacher

Location

We might be friends and we might be foes

But honestly we all know: You hate your job.

You are a teacher for crying out loud

You are the broke guy in the crowd.

You are the one in which students can either look up to or simply despise

In this case, the second choice applies

Sorry for your bad luck son

But I don't want to be the broke one

So teach me something worthy of my time

I don't want to settle for part-time

I want to get an education

I don't want to turn into a bum on probation

So teach me something cool

Something that is useful after high school

Learning how to graph a parabola

Won't even help me operate a spatula

I know it's your job to teach us this sh*t

But let's bend the rules just a little bit

I want to learn about surviving in today's society

I've heard it causes many anxiety

I want to learn how to set a budget

I don't want to be living on my last nugget

I would ask you to help me with these things

But you're just a teacher
It seems like you're not here to help me spread my wings
