The Heat of Summertime

The summer days, full of laughter and play.

The splashing and playing in the cool water,

The beams of sun above, tanning skin,

The gentle breeze of the wind on your face,

The patient fisherman in the distance hoping for a bite

The summer nights full of good times and memories.

The bonfires that glow in the cool, breeze filled night,

The s'mores that are made around the bonfires,

The music that plays from teenagers cruising down gravel roads,

The new friends that are made in the heat of the moment,

These are the awesome moments of summertime.
