Heart on my Sleeve

I wear my heart on my sleeve.

My love is open and true,

Although in reality only meant for you.

I keep my heart in my head,

For logic and reason protect me from pain.

Love freely give can taken with no gain.

I keep my heart locked inside;

Most of the time these feeling I hide.

My walls I keep up to wait for ride.

So I look for the one to unlock my chest,

And remind me there is one among the rest,

One who can remind me of the love I feel.

I wear my heart on my sleeve

Where everyone can see.

Love is not meant to be hidden,

Love is meant to be shared and given.

Forget the hurt that will always be.

Love is force stronger than the sea,

And the tides that turn will bring you here to me.
