Heart of Champions

The heart beats quicken walking to the box,

adrenaline rushes while put on the spot.

Pressures on; the hand and bat locks,

together in hope for the pitch to be on dot.

Steady the breath when she winds,

watch, get ready, here it comes.

Hear the crack and run the lines,

it's the beginning of the show.

Take the field it's time to play,

three up three down away they chant.

They end the season on this day,

full of games with a victory rant.

The best moments of their lives,

was playing on the field at all times.
