The Heart

Location

The human heart is fire,

it spreads its light to all

It’s soothing like a lyre,

and gentle like colors in fall

The human heart is warm and bright,

banishing despair, giving hope in its light

It is the means to deeper sight,

serving as judge of what’s wrong, what’s right

The human heart is reckless and bold,

it can easily turn for a bit of gold

The tongues of flame can rage,

and drown out advice of the sage.

The human heart is fire,

it blazes out of control

It’s capable of dangerous ire,

and scarring and burning the soul
