Hear Me Out and We Will Forever be Bound

Location

Shi ei Dineh.

I am Navajo.

As I venture out,

all I see are stares.

They look down on me.

They don't know there are more like me.

They don't know I am capable of anything.

Shi ei Dineh.

I am Navajo.

They see beauty.

They see a beautiful brown color.

They see power and culture.

They all see something different.

But I need them to know,

I am me.

Don't make awful accusations,

strong presumptions,

judging eyes.

Get to know me.

Venture a mile in my shoes,

and you will feel the beauty.

Get to know me,

and we will be forever bound to one another.
