Hear Me

I try to hold on

I try not to break

But trying isn’t good enough

And sometimes you know you’re gonna fall

But you pick up the pieces

Of your messed up world

And your broken heart

And every time you miss a little piece

You shatter like glass

All over the floor

Because you just can’t take

The pain anymore

I’m screaming at the world but they don’t see
How everything’s wrong with me
And if you asked if I’m alright
I’d tell you the whole story
About the girl afraid to fly
About the girl who watched herself die
When she had no more hope to give
How she’d forgotten how to live
And maybe, just maybe,
You’d understand about me.

Your eyes are hollows

You can count your ribs

And see your spine

But no one notices something’s wrong

So you turn away

With tears in your eyes

Perfect isn’t good enough

And you just want to be something

So you let them

Treat you like nothing

And your heart opens up

And you can’t feel it beating

I’m screaming at the world but they don’t see
How everything’s wrong with me
And if you asked if I’m alright
I’d tell you the whole story
About the girl afraid to fly
About the girl who watched herself die
When she had no more hope to give
How she’d forgotten how to live
And maybe, just maybe,
You’d understand about me.

It’s a tradgedy, why don’t you see

I’m broken, so broken,

But nobody hears and nobody listens

I’m not better than anyone, I’m practically nothing

And I’m left crying in the corner

And I can’t, And I can’t, do this again

I’m screaming at the world but they don’t see
How everything’s wrong with me
And if you asked if I’m alright
I’d tell you the whole story
About the girl afraid to fly
About the girl who watched herself die
When she had no more hope to give
How she’d forgotten how to live
And maybe, just maybe,
You’d understand about me.

And maybe, just maybe, someone will finally

Hear me.
