Healthy and Happy Relationship
What does a healthy and happy relationship really mean to me?Is this a trick question? Would my answer be on tv?How am I suppose to know what's supposed to be healthy?Being with somebody for love or because they're wealthy? I don't know much, I don't know anything at all; That's according to a person I'm in a relationship with who makes me feel small; There's zero communication between us, which is why I value communication so much;Every word we share is like glass and I treat them as such; There was once trust, but now it's out of the picture;Trust is key to a healthy relationship. We can't replace it with strictures;Compassion must also be present in order for there to be a compromise;Without it comes fights and with fights there are lies; We must each hold the same amount of responsibility;Blaming each doesn't work anymore and ruins our stability;Equality is important because there needs to be fairness; You actually caring about that quality is some kind of rareness; Space is not a problem in our little connection; That's a good thing, but then with infinite space comes rejection;I need you in my life and I wish that wasn't true;I feel this aching pain as you push me away because I love you; "Because I love you" shouldn't mean I should hurt;I shouldn't feel like a burden to you. I shouldn't feel like dirt; What "because I love you" should actually mean? How should I know? I'm only just a teen! But what I would like it to be is what our relationship lack;Everything I put in this poem and not have it wrack;"Because I love you" shouldn't come with harm;It should come from a place within the heart and not send off any bad alarms; But because people love and "because I love you"All logic flies out of the window and we're left not knowing what to do;"Because I love you" is a phrase that's too complicated to understand; How can you decipher its meaning when love never goes as planned?
