The Half Sun Children

Moments are perishable.

That’s what makes them so attractive.

The natural life span of a moment,

Is comparable to the time avocados are ripe to eat.

It’s right there, and then you turn around.

It disappears, into the abyss like a magic trick.

Take it all in, every bit. Utilize your senses!

Smell, rub, visually study, listen,

taste your experiences.

Because all as we know it adapts and ends.

So do not remain stationary, this is not what we are meant for.

Go! Get out. Do it all. Everything you’ve ever dreamed,

And  -  when you think you’ve done everything,

create your own fictional world,

Here in real life.

Hold the moments, but do not dwell,

for those were once present as well.
