Habits

1 Corinthians 15:33 New King James Version

33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

Habits

Unconsciously developing many, when you synchronize.

To walk hand in hand with the strange habits you form

It should not surprise us that this shoe fits most of us

And adding more habits, the more we’re fully grown

Looking straight forward and staring towards the ground

While we’re talking slowly, searching for some words

Our mind goes in slow motion, as it quit exercising long ago

As we're mentally developing more muscles like a cord

A believer does not perceive that passivity is the cause

These symptoms, my dear friend, are a natural weakness

Maybe in age or diet "somewhere" we’ll find the cause,

that these are not excuses convinced by self as "meekness"

People mostly deceived, are the ones with good intentions

Honesty is no condition not to be partially deceived

Knowledge makes the difference if it is based on wisdom

For intelligence very often keeps feeding a selfish breed

Neglect of biblical teaching and failing to watch and pray

Even when trusting in pure motives to keep from deception

Seems the very element of self-confidence and betrays the way

As in that moment, you're trapped, like a moving contradiction

To be humble enough to acknowledge all probabilities

even being deceivedpreventing you from clearly seeing

The dangers of false security are then always at the door

If too many idealistic teachings you absorb, to fill your being
