Guide Me Now

Guide me now my gentle Father,

Hold me in Your clasping wings.

Please fastly keep me,

Hidden deeply,

Deep beneath Your folding wings.

Though violent rays seek to wither,

Scorch and parch my budding hope,

I beneath Thee,

Hidden deeply,

Trust Your shadow past their grope.

When cleaving rain comes to claim me,

Quench my flame and drown my heart,

Still I within Thee,

Hidden deeply,

Lie untouched beside Your heart.

All the world may pass beneath us,

Heaven's lights glide on above,

But I within Thee,

Hidden deeply,

Rest within Your quiet love.
