Growing 

It’s not the fastest of processes. 

It takes time

Patience

Commitment.

It’s a network of memories, people, and experiences.

Every choice you make shapes you as a person. 

I’ve made choices that weren’t the best,

But I’ve also made choices that changed my life in the best way. 

I used to hate myself, but I made the choice to love myself 

When I realized it was the first step to growing.

I’ve learned to let people in, 

I’ve been patient with those who weren’t patient with me.

I’ve committed to growing as a person,

I’ve committed to being the best me I can be. 

I’m not a little kid anymore, 

But that doesn’t mean I can’t have fun.

I’m not naive anymore, 

But that doesn’t mean I can’t be innocent.

I’ve made mistakes, 

I’m not perfect, 

But I am realizing that as I grow I don’t need to be. 

I just need to be me.

I am growing, it’s inevitable. 

But I will grow into the best version of me that I can be, 

And I will be happy with how I’ve grown.
