Grow with me

Twenty-one years old

throwing my life away.

Roaming the streets with friends:

Running, but staying in place.

Where do I go from here?

They smell nothing but fear,

and because of that,

they will eat me alive.

People are everywhere,

yet I'm all alone.

Twenty-two years old,

moved accross the country to start again.

Would you look at that?

I made a friend.

A partner in crime,

one to call mine.

Makes me question my past,

and will put me on blast.

"Challenge yourself",

"Find something to love",

Running again,

but this time

in the right direction.

He will grow with me.

Twenty-three years old,

and pregnant.

As I am growing,

I am growing.

I must find my passion;

My purpose.

I know I deserve this.

To be something I love,

for the two that I love.

I am growing,

grow with me.

Twenty-four years old,

out of an appartment,

and into a home.

I no longer feel alone.

A beautiful baby girl,

finally enrolled in school.

Bills are being paid.

I am growing up.

A career is in my future,

grow with me.
