Grandiose Gestures of Love

Grandiose gestures of love
Are bitten nails
And mirror front monologues
Are trembling hands and lips
Before a trembling first kiss
Is the twirling of hair till frizz
Is the awkward dialogue
Is swearing by the moon
For fear it might change its mind
Are butterflies
And doves
Are beautiful things
Are grandiose gestures of love
