I had never seen a smile so bright,

Or a laugh that sounded so sweet.

Talking to someone never felt so right, 

but now its impossible to meet.

Now when i visit him, its not happiness and cheers

Instead i bring flowers to show that I care.

Every now and then I shed a few tears,

but no often enough and becoming more rare.

A gradfathers love touches your heart,

and I know we are never far apart.
