Graduation

Imma graduate feeling free from this locked mentally.
Rising to my heights, using my full potentially.
God gave me a gift, from there I created a vision.
To make it as far as I can with damn near perfect precision.
I worked long and hard to stay on track making moves that lead to me to back track.
It feels good to be free from that locked mentality.
Laying low and not knowing which way to go.
Being black and feminine statistics already high.
But in the end Imma hold my diploma and wave all that goodbye.
Goodbye to negativity and hello to creativity.
One step at a time is all it takes, cap tilted gown flowing like my cape.
Walk out like my red carpet awaits
