Goodnight
They tucked me in
And said goodnight.
But that was not
Completely right.
The bickering from
The other room,
Kept me up,
As did the Moon.
The hallway an abyss
Trying to swallow me whole.
The tension in the room
A deafening lull.
My mother crying,
My dad denying,
The hurt he put
In her heart.
This poem is about:
Me
My family
