Good Morning, Mother

Good morning, Mother

Have you awoken from your slumber?

I feel your icy veins,

so maybe I'm insane.

Good morning, Mother

Did you think to see your daughter?

I wish I saw you too,

but that is nothing new.

Good morning, Mother

Was your silence that of another?

I'd say I need to explain,

but really you can't complain.

Good morning, Mother

Was I meant to make you suffer?

Everyone says I'm an angel,

but you seem to think I'm the Devil.

Good morning, Mother

Did you come to finally love?

I wish for too much I know,

it's what I always do.

Good morning, Mother

Have you finished with your sentence?

You left me with no family,

so silence is expected.
