Godfather

Today my life changed forever

For the better

I became a father to a beautiful daughter

I come now to you my brother

To ask you to be her protector

In the event that I should falter

Please raise and guard my daughter

Teach her the sounds of laughter

Guide her and lead her

You have always had my back

So I know it’s not too much to ask

I fear the day may come

Where I do not return home

If danger comes my way

I hope God hears me pray

If I turn down the wrong street

And my end is what I meet

If I face a case that isn’t beat

The duty would fall to you

To do what I couldn’t do

Would you be The Godfather
