Goddess Rising

Wake up! Cling to the hours of the day,

You're going to wish you had laid

Down sooner, before the sun said hello.

Pace, faster, keep from running disaster,

You're final goals you're after,

Always far from mellow yellow.

School life is the night life,

The daily grind and booze hype,

Wondering if you'll earn enough dough.

Nose to the fonts, become a master,

Seek knowledge and then plaster,

Your brains on the forums when you feel low.

To learn is to give, to look up and ask Her,

Are you willing to close the chapter,

Of this life, this student world you've always known?

Take heart, times will shift to the rafters,

Daydreams, ghosted like Casper,

But you'll have the piece of paper to clearly state:

"Look how much I've grown".
