Look at her and what do you see,
a happy, cheerful, girl, full of glee?
Well look behind that mask,
that has been so neatly painted on,
for your little girl is long, long gone.
She is no longer happy and content with who she’s become,
for she is a monster, nothing but scum.
Underneath her pretty little clothes lies the secrets of her past,
lines carved into her skin, forever to last.
She is in a constant battle between remembering and forgetting.
She starves herself, only to fail.
She never ever will prevail.
For in her eyes she can never be good enough,
And if you ask her if she’s alright, she will always bluff.
Oh darling, there is so much you can’t see.
This girl is living in a nightmare,
And sweetheart, that girl is me.

Dope message. There have been times in my life I have felt like: "She is no longer happy and content with who she’s become, for she is a monster, nothing but scum." I really enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for posting!
