Getting To Know Me

Getting To Know Me

For those of you who don't know me, hi I'm Erika Jackson.

And just so we're clear, no I'm not related to Michael Jackson.

But I wish though because he's pretty sick.

And when I say sick I don't mean mentally nor physically but creatively lit.

But this isn't about Michael this is about me.

Not to sound cocky but I'm like pink cotton candy, pretty sweet.

I mean im the best friend anyone can have.

If you hurt me, I’ll make you feel like trash.

My words can break bones just as if they were chainsaws

I'll date your ex because that's what friends are for.

Or I'll let you get away things because I can't open up the door.

I'm the best girlfriend to have too.

There are times if you get on my nerves I'll break up with you.

And if you hurt me I'll blame you for everything but wait for you to come back to me.

I'm good at taking people for granted as you can see.

I've got a great attitude.

To be honest, I don't even care; your feelings mean nothing

He told me he loved me and one day would give me a ring

When he gave it to me, I would hand it back cause his love don't mean a thing.

Cause his love ain't real love.

Its the fetish for my body

I'm only speaking the reality

So at the end of the day I'll sit back and over think

Wondering how I can change; my mind is full of words, phrases, and replayed scenarios

At school you'll never see me at the lowest of my lows

You'd never think that a girl so sweet can even target low blows

or be so cold

But that's me

And I'm not sorry to say it.

I'm perfectly imperfect as the saying goes

I make mistakes and that's why I've got mottoes

My favorite is everything happens for a reason.

So when you're making mistakes season after season

Look at the mistakes I've made

And know you're not the only one in this grade.
